ATHLETE TRAINING

Group Training is the staple program of ABT. Athletes will be placed in appropriate groups upon completion of their Athlete Evaluation.
Athlete Orientation

A requirement for every new athlete entering the ABT programs - Athletes new to ABT will participate in an orientation and perform a series of drills. These drills will allows us to properly asses the athlete and place them in the appropriate programs. Parents are welcome to observe the class and coaches will be available after class to further discuss ABT programs and any questions that may exist.

Milford evaluations take place every WEDNESDAY 6:00-7:00 PM

Youth Speed and Development

Teaching running mechanics and basic movement patterns to young athletes - This program will focus on running mechanics such as arm action, head position, hip extension, knee drive, and foot contact. Athletes will also be taught how to properly control their own body weight and maintain a good center of gravity. 

Improving fundamental skills and self-confidence for young athletes - These are the most critical years in a child’s life for developing motor skills. The developmental program will help build your athletes physical foundation. The goals of this program are to build self esteem, improve balance, coordination, core strength, running mechanics, and give an introduction to weight training.  Each session lasts 1 hour.

Performance

Enhance and optimize athletic performance for junior high, high school, and college athletes - ​These are the ideal ages for developing speed, strength and power of an athlete. The focus is on maximal improvements in athletic performance. The performance program will improve work capacity, speed and agility, increase strength and power, and reduce the risk of injury. Each session lasts 1.5 hours.

Mini Movers

Our youngest athletes are our Mini-Movers, for ages 4-7. This class is designed to introduce fun in athletics and create a strong foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Classes are made up of games, obstacles, running mechanics, coordination and fun!
